Questions firms ask
Can a sole practitioner use Silk?
Yes. Sign up as a firm of one: you are the administrator and hold one seat. Add colleagues later, each with their own seat.
What happens when the trial ends?
You choose a seat for each person and pay for the rest of the month through Paystack. After that Silk issues one invoice a month, which you pay by card or EFT. There is no debit order, and a plan never starts without a payment.
Do we need Microsoft 365 or any software?
No. A browser is enough: sign-in is email and password with a second factor. Firms on Microsoft 365 can add single sign-on if they want it.
What if someone uses up their allowance?
They pause until it resets, five days on. If your firm would rather they carry on, an administrator can buy extra usage for that person.
Is our information kept in South Africa?
Model processing runs in Microsoft Azure South Africa North, with storage disabled on each model call.
